Egremni Beach is an ideal place for those looking for privacy and wild nature, as it does not have tourist facilities such as sunbeds, umbrellas or beach bars. You must come prepared with everything you need for a relaxing day on this paradise beach.


To get to Egremni you have two options: by boat or by car. By boat you can take one of the cruises that leave daily from the ports of Lefkas, Nidri or Vasiliki and stop at several beaches on the west side of the island. By car you have to drive about 50 minutes from the capital of the island, Lefkas, to a small parking lot where you can leave the vehicle. From there you have to walk down about 1.5 km on an asphalted road and then about 400 more steps to the beach. It's quite an effort, but it's worth it for the gorgeous view.


2. Porto Katsiki - the most famous beach in Lefkada

Porto Katsiki is the most famous and photographed beach in Lefkada, including in the lists of the most beautiful beaches in the world. 3. Kathisma - the liveliest beach in Lefkada

Kathisma is the most lively and modern beach in Lefkada, located about 15 km from the capital of the island, Lefkas. It is a long and wide beach with fine sand and azure blue water. It is a very well organized beach with many tourist facilities such as sunbeds, umbrellas, beach bars, restaurants, shops, showers and toilets. It is a beach very frequented by young people and fun lovers, because parties and music events are organized here.

To get to Kathisma you need a car or a bus. By car you have to drive about 20 minutes from the capital of the island, Lefkas, to a large parking lot where you can leave your car. From there you have to walk down a few steps to the beach. By bus you can take one of the regular routes from Lefkas to Agios Nikitas that stop at Kathisma.


4. Milos - the most secluded beach in Lefkada

Milos is the most secluded and undeveloped beach in Lefkada, located about 2 km from the village of Agios Nikitas. It is a sand and pebble beach with turquoise water and picturesque cliffs. It is a very quiet and relaxing beach where you can enjoy the unspoilt nature and the gorgeous view.


Milos Beach has no tourist facilities, so you have to keep that in mind for a relaxing day on this wild beach. Don't forget to bring water, food, sunscreen and a hat.


To get to Milos you have two options: by boat or on foot. By boat you can take one of the small boats that leave from Agios Nikitas and make regular trips to Milos. On foot you have to walk about 20-30 minutes on a rather difficult and steep coastal road that starts from Agios Nikitas. It is not recommended to do this road if you are not in good physical shape or if you have health problems.


5. Agiofili - the smallest beach in Lefkada


Agiofili is the smallest and nicest beach in Lefkada, located about 2 km from Vasiliki village. It is a sand and pebble beach with electric blue water and white cliffs. It is a very clean and beautiful beach where you can dive and admire the colorful fish.


Agiofili Beach has some tourist facilities such as sunbeds, umbrellas and a beach bar. It's quite a crowded beach in the tourist season, so if you want to find a good spot on the sand, you have to get there early or go to the ends of the beach where it's freer.


To get to Agiofili you have two options: by boat or on foot. By boat you can take one of the small boats that depart from Vasiliki and make regular trips to Agiofili. On foot you have to walk about 30-40 minutes on a fairly easy and pleasant coastal road that starts from Vasiliki.


6. Kalamitsi - the most varied beach in Lefkada

From there you have to walk down for a few minutes to the beach. By bus you can take one of the regular routes from Lefkas to Agios Nikitas that stop at Kalamitsi.


7. Mikros Gialos - the most family friendly beach in Lefkada


Mikros Gialos is the most family friendly beach in Lefkada, located 30 km from the island's capital, Lefkas. It is a sand and pebble beach with light blue and very shallow water. It is a fairly safe and comfortable beach for children and beginner swimmers.


Mikros Gialos beach has many tourist facilities such as sunbeds, umbrellas, beach bars, restaurants, shops, showers and toilets. It is a very clean and well maintained beach where you can feel at home.


To get to Mikros Gialos you need a car or a taxi. By car you have to drive about 40 minutes from the capital of the island, Lefkas, to a large parking lot where you can leave your vehicle. From there you have to walk a few minutes to the beach. With the taxi you can call one of the companies that offer transport services to Mikros Gialos.
